I love this guy

So Tren and I decided it was time to start decorating our master bedroom because right now it looks like a bachelor pad! No paint, T's old bed, and some rubbermaid containers for nightstands.
I have been downloading pictures of ideas on what style I am going for and lucky me Tren is ok with it. The problem is I love modern/contemporary styles but NOBODY in Utah sales furniture that fits this style.
So Tren and I ( and our good friends Gary & Kim) spent the saturday going to a starving artist sale and lots of furniture stores. We found 3 pieces of art, no problem but furniture... forget it! We are gonna have to make our own!
So here we are at our 2nd RC Willey store and Tren spots this bed and he wants it. He keeps telling me how different it is which is what I like. He even goes as far as to get on the bed to see how comfortable it is. He's sold! Round bed?!? Never really crossed my mind. But thank goodness I had a camera cuz no lie, Tren sat there on that bed, in this pose for a good few minutes. What a sight!
Here he is up close! LOL He makes me giggle! I love how he just doesn't care! He will always keep us young and make me laugh! I just love this big guy!

Brandall is HOME!

My little brother, Brandall, just returned home from serving in Brazil! We are so excited that he is finally home! He still has his dry sense of humor and I absolutely adore this kid! It's going to be fun to watch as he adjusts back into the 'real world'.
His homecoming is this Sunday and I can't wait to hear him speak! He had so many neat experiences while serving his mission! Also we are doing a musical number (my dad, 2 brothers, sister and myself) which my brother Stephen arranged. I am not too excited for that part but Brandall is doing a solo in it and he sounds SOOOOO good, especially with his Portuguese accent!

Here we are at the airport on our way to pick Brandall up. The little ones were SUPER excited... as you can probably imagine!

So funny thing happened... which wasn't so funny at the time. Brandall's flight was suppose to arrive at 11:25 AM but we were watching his flight at home and it showed that it was delayed and he wouldn't be arriving until 12:46 PM. So we hung around the house a little longer and arrived at the airport at 12:35... we get there and the monitor shows Brandall's flight arrived
ON TIME at 11:25!!
Aaaaaahhhhhh!!! We were wiggin, here we are over an HOUR LATE to pick him up! How awful he shows up and NOBODY is there to welcome him home!
My dad tells us to stay put while he wanders around the baggage claim trying to find him. Shaline and I were about to page him when my dad asked a lady who just showed up to baggage claim which flight she just got off of... in her sweet southern accent she says "flight 689 sir"... thank goodness, that's Brandall's flight. So we waited patiently til he arrived! LOL

Here he is, far left, all smiles! Isn't he so stinkin cute!
The kids were first to get to him!! They were so excited to hug him! They have grown SO much since Brandall last saw them!
It was an emotional moment when my Dad got to hug his son! I was wishing my mom could've have been there to greet her baby and tell him well done but I could feel her so strong! I am sure we all could.

If that face doesn't say overwhelmed then I dunno what face would

Me and my baby brother and Brandall with all of the missionaries he went into the MTC with.

I LOVE this picture! Brindyn wouldn't leave Brandall's side!

Tren's Birthday

"Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live"
Tren turned 26 yesterday!! He got spoiled by everyone and he definitely deserves it! We had a lot of fun celebrating!
On Wednesday night we went over to Tren's parents for a birthday bash. Tren decided he wanted enchilada's for dinner and he of course got his U of U cake! :) Everything was so delicious!
Here is Tren with his grandparents Joy and Roger
Tren's mom got this great cake and his Aunt and Uncle got him this Larry Fitzgerald vinyl flathead. They know him so well!

Tren was so excited when he opened up this electric blower/vac.
Then on Thursday night we went out to dinner with my family for Tren's birthday. Then came back for cake, ice cream and presents! It was a blast.
I wanted to make Tren's cake this year, so I went out on a limb and attempted to make a football cake! It was a success! Brindyn helped me decorate the football.
What do ya think?? I have to admit, I am pretty proud of it!

This is how we do gifts... Nelson style! LOL
Wrapping is with newspaper and garbage bags! Nothing fancy... besides, it's whats inside that's important!

BIG WEEK

BIG WEEK
This week Tren turns the big 26 on the 21st!! I hate to brag, but he is the most amazing husband and friend ever! I still can't believe how lucky I am to have him as mine! I am so excited to enjoy another eventful year with him!
Love you baby!

AND.....
My little brother (who isn't so little anymore) Brandall is coming home from his mission! He diligently served the Lord down in Brazil and LOVED every minute of it! I think his homecoming will definitely be bittersweet for him! I know he would have loved to stay in Brazil longer if it was his choice! But I can't wait to see him!

Date night

Tren and I were able to enjoy a fun date night with his parents and Aunt and Uncle. We went and saw the new movie Avatar in 3D! I honestly was not all too excited about this movie, but I had heard great things so I gave it a shot and I LOVED it! I thought it was a really good movie. It didn't seem long at all! I definitely recomend it.... watching it in 3D was great!

I didn't bring my camera so I had to use my phone to capture how great we looked in our glasses!! (sorry they're a little blurry) I wish I had got a picture of everyone! :(

Fun at the Cabin

Every year my family always goes up to our cabin right after Christmas for a couple of days to enjoy the snow. We love snowmobiling and sledding! This year we didn't have anywhere near the amount of snow that we usually do, but it was still super fun!
Brindyn and Tren as we are just leaving the house!
Here's T and I on our first day up there! We of course went sledding as soon as we got everything and everyone in the cabin. Most of you know that sledding is one of Tren's all time favorites! Look how happy he is.... he's like a little kid stuck in a big boy's body!
I LOVE this picture!! Nothing can beat Stephen's face! Dannion is just enjoying the ride. It makes me giggle everytime I look at it!

Another great part about the cabin is the food! My dad is an amazing cook! Here I am helping him in the kitchen. (you don't see me in the kitchen very often)

So Dannion got some sweet nerf guns from santa for Christmas! Don't even doubt that everyone had some fun playing with those bad boys! Sean and Stephen ganged up on Tren and had him cornered in the storage room. It was hilarious!
I have the sweetest brother... he's zipping up my coat cuz I can't with gloves on!

Don't ever dare Tren to do anything... cuz he'll do it! He is making a snow angel on the deck! It looks a bit cold!
This is what happens when you brake too hard and stop suddenly!! LOL
Just kidding, but it makes a great picture!
Me and my big sis Shaline... oh and Stephen in back!

It was so fun to have my Aunt Lori and her two boys and their friends come up and play! They were a blast! So Lori and I got this crazy idea that we should ride down the mountain on a sled together! Not a good idea. We totally biffed it!
We were laughing so hard and trying not to pee our pants! Tren doing what he loves! He gets going pretty fast! I am suprised he wasn't the one who ended up getting hurt!
Me and Stephen
My dad getting the machines warmed up.
These are my battle wounds. My faced stopped me while sledding down the mountain. How you ask?? I hit a tree stump! LOL

Shaline is working it in her snow bibs!!
Brindyn, Dannion and me taking a break to warm up by the heater

Me and Dannion patiently waiting for a ride up the hill

Our First Christmas

It was Tren and I's first christmas as a married couple!! It was a lot of fun! We decided to do our Christmas on Christmas eve since we had a packed day on Christmas Day. Looking back, I am so glad we did it that way!

Lucky me, I had to work on Christms Eve since women don't stop having babies just because it's the holidays. Tren picked me up and we went home to open presents! We both were so excited... I swear, we were like little kids!

Tren had pulled out a HUGE gift for me before I was heading to work, so naturally, I opened that one first! LOLIt's a composter!! I have been wanting one forever!! Most of you know that I love gardening, but we have terrible soil at our home so I have been trying to compost to make our soil better. Now that I have this bad boy, it's going to go a lot faster! Plus less of our garbage is going to our landfill. (Hence, notice the wrapping paper... newspapaer! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) It's a win win all around. I am so excited for Tren to assemble it!

Tren got a beard trimmer! This is going to make shaving a lot easier and faster!
So I was super excited to give Tren this blanket! My good friend Jena, helped me make it. I am far from crafty but I suprised myself and really enjoyed making this blanket for T. I had to make it warm enough and big enough for the games! I think Jena and I did a really good job!
