Mothers Day

Mothers day was a really tough day, as it is yearly.  You would think it would get easier each year, but it truly doesn't.  Its tough to not feel a little selfish and wonder why everyone gets to enjoy their mom's but I only get to remember mine.  (I know, pity me, but its really really hard) In the future for Mothers Day I just need to plan on staying home and enjoy all my favorite comfort foods!

Tren did get me a blendtec for mothers day/birthday.  I have been wanting one for MONTHS and now I finally get to enjoy chunk free green smoothies!  I have used it almost daily since Mothers Day!  This post baby body may not be bikini ready in a month or so, but hopefully it will be swimsuit ready thanks to my new blendtec.

I just adore this little girl!  I am so grateful to be a mom and I am loving every second of it!  I am looking forward to enjoying many more Mother's Day with this little angel.

Roadtrip

We took Piper on her first road trip a couple of weeks ago to Colorado.  We (Piper and I) weren't quite ready to part with Tren for a whole week, so we went with him.  We all stayed in an apartment while Tren worked.  In the evenings we were house hunting and exploring our new home.

Piper did great on the drive.  Given we did have two diaper blowouts and 3 outfit changes just on the ride there but she did better than we could have hoped for!

Piper and I went on walks daily enjoying the 80 degree weather!  She LOVES walks and I LOVED the sunshine and getting sun kissed skin.

This sling saved me!  While in Colorado, she went through a phase where she HAD to be held ALL the time.  She only took short cat naps during the day and I couldn't get anything done UNLESS she was in this bad boy!

Piper went on her first hike in Colorado.  We visited Rocky Mountain National Park.  It was a beautiful day and we saw TONS of wildlife including 2 bears (yep, bears), hundreds of elk, deer, etc.

Piper loved the hike and being snuggled close to her dad

Out house hunting

Piper was pretty good when we went out to eat.  We found a Vietnamese restaurant similar to our favorite Pho Hoa in Salt Lake.  I was stressed about taking her into a restaurant but she did good.

Piper has been getting big fast.  I have been taking weekly pictures of her and it's amazing how much she changes in just one week.  It's hard to see how tiny she is in the pictures - I wish I had used a stuffed animal or something in each of the pictures so it's a little more obvious how tiny she started out and how big she is now.  Oh well.... shoulda, coulda, woulda...

I think the milk jug helps you see how tiny she is.  She is 5 weeks in this picture.

This is Piper with her friend Breea.  Breea is 1 week old and was Piper's birth weight.  It's fun to compare how tiny Piper was to how big she is now!

We are just loving Piper!  She has such a fun personality!  She keeps Tren and I on our toes and not much gets done now that she is around but we wouldn't change if for anything.  We absolutely adore this little girl!

Getting big

My baby girl is getting so big!  I love it when she is wide eyed and alert like this.  She is 4 wks in this picture!
