Happy Birthday

I was SPOILED this year for my birthday! (I am not complaining)

My birthday celebration lasted about a week!

It all started when I found a table which would be perfect for a spot in my living room. It was textured, yet simple - it was edgy, yet classy. I told Tren that it was all I wanted for my birthday. So the week of my birthday we head out to go get my pretty table - they of course were having a side walk sale and I found 2 more tables that I HAD to HAVE. My birthday present tripled by the time we left.

Then later that week, my family threw a birthday/graduation party for my sister and me. We had a blast! We played a little volleyball in the backyard.....

My dad suprised (more me since Shaline isn't a HUGE ice cream fan) with a DQ mint oreo ice cream cake! I am sure my face was PRICELESS because this NEVER happens with our family! Needless to say - the cake was AMAZING and the party was a BLAST! It was fun to share the day with my big sista - she graduated from UVU with her bachelors in project management!

The whole group (Tren was taking the picture) enjoying some delicious ice cream.
When Tren and I got home from the family party - I hopped in the shower since I got a good workout from volleyball - when I got out, Tren had these waiting for me on my nightstand. It was such an unexpected suprise! I LOVE them.
The day after my birthday Tren took me fishing. (Which I have been begging to go do) We went to Strawberry but there was still ice around the lake so we went to Jordanelle next. We didn't have any luck catching fish but I loved spending the whole day with my hubby! Call me selfish - but I love having him all to myself!

Last but not least - we had a shin dig with the Hagman and Nelson clan at my favorite - LEATHERBY'S! We had so much fun! I loved having both my families there to celebrate! The ice cream, of course, was a big hit! Look at the smiles we got....
Grady loved his superman ice cream
You don't get a smile like this from John everyday
Tren made my 26th birthday unforgettable! Thank you baby!

That time of year again...

Tren's playing football again this year with the UTAH SHOCK!

(although he said a number of times that LAST year was his LAST year).

I have had a blast watching him and the team this year! We have a great group on the field and a great group in the bleachers.

I love my man in football gear :)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day - always a tough day! Poor Tren has to deal with a very emotional wife around this time every year. He does a fantastic job might I add!

Tren and I were able to take the 3 younger kids to mom's grave on Mother's Day afternoon. It was a new but hard experience. I personally prefer to go to the gravesite on my own but it was nice to hear what the kids remember about mom.

Each of us took our turn 'updating' mom on what has been going on in each of our lives. With the kids it was so second nature - it was like she was right there and they were telling her how their day has been. I have to say that I am really glad Tren and I took them. They are very tough and amazing kids. I just love them. Shaline and Brindyn made this beautiful bouquet. Each of the kids wrote a little card to mom and we tied it to the boughet with ribbon. I thought it was a fantastic idea. It turned out great!

The rest of the day we spent with the Hagmans. We had so much fun being together with the whole family.

Here is Tren with 2 very important women in his life - Grandma Joy and Tory. We love them both very much and hope they had a fabulous Mother's Day!
