Introducing....

Piper Darleis Hagman

Born March 24, 2012 @ 2012 (8:12 PM)

6 lbs 13.6 oz and 19.25 in long

She was 37 weeks when she decided to make her debut

Mom, baby and daddy are doing great! Tren and I have easily adjusted to our new addition. We are so in love with her!

Our first family picture

Tren is completely wrapped around this little girl's finger already! I love watching him with her. It's amazing how you fall deeper in love with your husband (which I didn't know was possible) when you watch him with your new baby!

Little miss Piper!

Birth story to come.... along with Piper's newborn pictures.... and more updates.
Stay tuned

Nelson Baby Shower

Kim (dad's wife) and Brindyn (little sis) threw me and Piper a baby shower a week or so ago. It was really fun to visit with family and friends.
Kim made this ADORABLE diaper cake and baby rattle cupcakes! It was so cute! I still have the diaper cake sitting in Piper's nursery because I can't bring myself to take it apart - it's too cute! I guess I will be forced to when Piper is here and we are desperate for a diaper!

Once again, Piper and I got spoiled! She is going to be dressed so cute everyday with all the cute outfits she got! Brindyn, who is only 11 yrs old, made this quilt for Piper. She had a little help from Kim but she did the majority of the work! I absolutely love it! Piper is going to be warm with this adorable blanket! Tren came for the very end. (just in time to eat, of course) It was fun to have him there for a little bit of the shower. Thank you Kim and Brindyn for the shower! It ws so much fun!

Almost there....

I am feeling and looking pretty big and am not sure how much more my poor belly, skin, uterus, etc can stretch. I feel like I am at my max! I am hoping the next few weeks fly by and miss Piper makes her debut before or on her due date. (that's not too much to ask, right?)

Here I am at 32 weeks

33 weeks 34 weeks 35 weeks
I have been very fortunate in feeling pretty good. The negatives (which I am not complaining of) have been fatigue (worse than the first trimester), worsening memory, round ligament pain, frequent nausea and horrible dizziness (to the point I have to pull over and wait until it passes before I can safely drive).

On the bright side - no stretch marks (yet), I have already started dilating, I have only gained 22 lbs so far and I am hoping and praying she is here within a month! She is still very active and is now getting the hiccups on a daily basis. I can't wait to meet this little girl!

Girls night

Jena, Megan and I got together for another fun filled girls night! We had a blast making jewelry hangers (thanks Megan for the great idea). Jena decided on wings for dinner since it was her birthday and they were AMAZING! We just lounged around in our sweats and laughed the whole time! I love it!

Our final products. They were super easy and fun to make!

I love spending time with these girls! I sure am going to miss them once I move! Maybe I can skype in for the girls nights in the future! :)

Grateful

December 26, 1961 - March 1, 2007
I sure miss this cheesy grin she had!

She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes & pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes & see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow & live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her & only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory & let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty & turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
--David Harkins

Although there a bunch of things I feel my mom is missing out on here physically with her family- I can't help but be grateful for all the things she got to be a part of! I cherish all my memories of her and can't wait to share them with my daughter. She was an absolutely amazing mother. I learned a lot from her and hope to live up to the high bar she has set for me and my siblings!
