Birthday Boy

Tren turned the big 27 on January 21st! We had such a fun weekend celebrating his birthday! On his birthday (sadly both his mom and I didn't take pictures which is VERY unusual for us) Tren, myself and his parent went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. (DELICIOUS!) Later that night, Tren insisted on his birthday presents cuz he couldn't wait til the next day when we were celebrating with the families.
The next day we (The Hagman and Nelson families) went to lunch at La Frontera to celebrate both Tren and our aunt Christies birthday. So yummy!

After lunch, everyone came back to our place for cake, ice cream and presents. Here is Grandma Joy chatting with my dad, Kim and Dannion
Present Time - Tren got spoiled :)

And of course, what's a family get together without wrestling. Tren had to burn off his HUGE lunch somehow.
Happy Birthday Baby! I love your guts!

San Francisco

I have said it before and I will say it again - I freakin LOVE my family!!
Stephen learned first hand how fun it is to travel with his big sisters - poor guy! But Shaline and I know better than to take our purses and stuff into the nasty airport bathrooms!

Stephen - the quirky guy that he is - asked Shaline and I how we were able to get all of our bottled liquids (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc) through security. He thought the liquid restriction that is on carry on's is the same for checked luggage. So he put the bare necessity of his gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc into zip lock baggies. He honestly thought he got away with murder with how much liquid he brought. His face was HILARIOUS when we told him he completely misunderstood the rules.

My first time to San Fran and I LOVED it! It was nice to have Stephen and Shaline as my personal tour guides since they had both been there a couple of times
One of the funniest/random things - can you spot the guy??
Yep, that's him in the garbage can! He would pop up and scare people as they walked by! So funny!Stephen and I being the nerds that we are. He is holding up Alcatraz and I am taking in the cotton candy - one of my guilty pleasures! Tren would be so proud - I didn't buy a single bag!

My sister and me outside a sour dough joint.
We did a bunch of shopping! Lucky Stephen tried everything on - he was a good sport!
This guy would hide behind his 'bush' and pop out and scare people. Stephen took this picture and the guy got so mad that we got a picture of his 'bush'
Lunch! We had the most amazing clam chowder and crab! Plus our view was AMAZING!
I LOVED the architecture and design of the buildings. I couldn't get enough! Every building was so unique. I can't wait to go back!
And the whole reason we went to California - Stephen's christmas concert in Oakland. He did an OUTSTANDING job! The piano dual he wrote was AMAZING!

This was his piano dual side kick! He really did a great job keeping up with Stephen!

5 Star Ranch

Tren and I went up to the 5 Star Ranch for a day to join my family where they were spending the week with Kim (my dad's wife) family.
There was no shortage of snow! (Tren loves it for some reason) When my little sister said she wanted to go sledding, Tren was quick to volunteer to go with her. They found a small hill- which wasn't much fun - so Brindyn enjoyed getting pulled around on her sled by my dad. It was pretty cute! But the sledding idea didn't last long - we were back inside pretty quick!

Brandall came up with Tren and I. It was fun to spend the day with him one last time. He left the next day to move to Peru for the semester. (Talk about over achiever) :)

Tren and Brandall making some garlic bread for dinner. Everyone helping out in the kitchen. Left is Kim's brother (I don't remember his name), Brandall, Kim, Kim's sister (yep, don't remember hers either) and Tren
Me and my hansom man It was fun to get to know Kim's family a little better - but I have to be honest - it's still super weird to have a step family!

CHRISTMAS

Christmas was so busy for Tren and I - and yet SO SO SO fun.
We started off the day at my dad's house bright and early to watch my younger siblings check out what Santa brought. Since I do have such young siblings - I love going over there to watch them on Christmas morning.
Here is me and Tren

Sean got a sweet new tennis racket which he gladly modeled for us and Stephen showing off his guns with his protein stuff --- And then there is Dad and Kim opening up some presents and Brindyn showing off her new Raccoon hat we picked up for her from San Francisco.

Tren and I did our Christmas on Christmas Eve - I could tell he was a little bummed that he didn't get his camo rain gear he has been dying to have. Well, he was surprised that Sean (with a little help from his big sis) got it for him. His face was GLOWING when he tried his new rain gear on.

Stephen, Brandall, Tren and I all went in on a little gift for Shaline. We gave an artist a picture of Shaline and a picture of our mom and asked her to draw them together. The final product was AMAZING!! We even got her to cry when she opened it! :)

Dannion and Brandall
Shaline got me some clippers so I can get better at cutting Tren's hair and so I don't have to go over to the house to do it - you ready Trenner???
The whole crew and the big mess we made. I LOVE it!
The last gift that was opened was a loaded nerf gun which my dad immediately started shooting everyone. It was a great way to end it all. He is such a kid at heart! I just love him - I mean, how could you not?? Look at that smile! :O)

Hagmans

Christmas afternoon we had lunch over at Tren's grandparents house.
Here he is with his Mom and Grandma Joy! He just loves these women and would do anything for them!

Here are two of my favorite women - Tory and Aunt Christie!

After lunch we went to Tren's parents for dinner and games. Here's Tren and Diesel!

Tory once again spoiled us - she does every year!

We gave John a framed picture of Tren and his bull -- we were teasing him cuz John's bull is clearly bigger. He got a good laugh out of it!

Tory got a new coffee maker - how she made it this long since her last one broke - I will never know!

These two adorable boys were spoiled rotten - which they of course deserve! Tren and I had a blast watching these two open up their presents!
