So I am a little behind!  So much going on with the holidays and a child on the move - I just can't find the time to sit down and blog.....

Last month we kicked off our week of Thanksgiving festivities by heading to St. George for family pictures and quality time with the Mcbrides.  ( my mom's side of the family)  We had so much fun!  I just love being around this family of mine.  Nothing but smiles, positivity and good ol' fun!  

The family pictures were a success!(pictures to come)  Everyone looked fantastic! We finished our photo shoot by riding on a carousel near by! I think Piper enjoyed it ALMOST as much as the adults!

 We finished off the day with a pre- Thanksgiving Feast made by our own personal chef - Uncle Paulo!  It was delicious!  We had a blast and can't wait for our next get together!

8 months old

My baby girl just won't stop growing.  Although it's fun to see how much she is learning and changing everyday, I wish it would slow down so we can enjoy each new milestone before moving onto the next.  Oh well... you know what they say, you can wish in one hand and..., well, you know what they say!

We were lucky enough to have found a photographer who is just starting her business and needed babies for her growing portfolio.  She came to our house and did these pictures for free.  Thank you Melissa Sue Photography!

Love that Piper has such an amazing daddy!  Tren is already wrapped around her little finger!  I can't get enough of these two!

The latest with Piper..

                                                   * She is 22 lbs (97%) and 27 in (47%)

        * Piper started crawling on Thanksgiving Day just a few days shy of turning 8 months old

* She has 3 teeth (2 bottom and 1 top) - I think her 2nd top tooth will be in any day now

                    * Continues to hate cuddling.  She is definitely my child and has quite the bubble!  Ha ha

* Very social butterfly.  She loves playing with her friends Anna and Emma who are right around her age!  She laughs, squeals and grabs at other kids!

          * Loves boys/men.  She will laugh and giggle at almost any guy but women have to work pretty hard for a smile from Piper.

                                    * She is definitely a mama's girl!  And I am not going to lie, I love it!  :)

* Piper can pull herself up and works hard at doing this most of the day now.  But she isn't quite walking around furniture yet. 

* She smiles a ton!  She is a very happy girl!

                                                          * Wakes up for 1 feeding a night 

* Gives fantastic open mouth, slobbery kisses and I just can't get enough of them

                 * Loves all foods and does excellent with finger foods, sipping through straws and does decent drinking out of a big girl cup with help. 

* Piper struggles when Tren or I leave the room.  She has a melt down and already has begun to have quite the tantrums.

                              * She has become quite the travelor with the many, many, many road trips we have taken to Utah.  She continues to do better and better with each road trip! 

We sure adore this little girl!  We feel so blessed to have her be part of our family!  

Happy Birthday Brandall

It was my little brother's, who is not so little anymore, birthday last week.  Brandall turned 24.  His friends surprised him buy leaving balloons and gifts ALL OVER THE HOUSE!!  He is definitely one loved guy!

The Evans clan came for a visit

Tren's sister, Meagan, and her adorable family came to visit us for the weekend a few weeks back.  Tory flew out and met us here too!  It was fun having most of the family together.  (we were only missing Pa pa).

Piper had all the attention she could ever ask for.  She LOVES her cousins Hudson and Grady.  They were so good at playing and holding her.  Piper also adores her Uncle Jon.  (lets just say, she loves the boys of the family!)  Ha, what a girl!

 Hudson is quite the baseball player, so we took a tour of the Coors field.  We had a lot of fun.

We had so much fun having them visit us!  We did lots of shopping and eating out!  It was sad to see them go!  Pip was the most upset, seeing how she was expecting me to continue giving her all the attention she was use to getting which doesn't allow for much to get done around the house!  I hope they can make it out again soon!  We love having visitors!



7 months old

This little cutie is now 7 months old 

(well, she was 2 weeks ago... I just can't seem to keep up with blogging sometimes)

*She now has 3 teeth - the top teeth have been awful compared to the bottom teeth.  I think both Pip and I are done with teething!  No fun!

*Army crawls like a champ - but still not crawling (mom is encouraging her to take her time)

*Likes to get up on all fours but hasn't figured out how to move like that

*Continues to adore her dog Diesel

*Loves finger foods and her vegetables

*Says mama (melts my heart)

*Still nursing like a champ

*Loves talking to the 'baby' she sees in the mirror (so cute)

*Piper is VERY close to pulling herself up to a standing position

*Can stand pretty well when holding on to something

*Loves 'playing' with other kids

*Big mommy's girl right now and I am loving every second of it

*Feeding once at night but still gets up about 2-3 times a night

Halloween

Piper's first Halloween!  

She was such a happy cowgirl, even with the hundreds of pictures mom and dad were taking!

Our friends invited us to go with them to a trunk or treat which was a lot of fun.  Piper loves hanging out with her friend Emma!  We then went out for ice cream and finished off the night at home passing out candy and catching up on Dexter!  We sure had fun!

Halloween was a success!  We can't wait until next year when Pip can walk!

Visitors

We had the pleasure of having Gary and Kim come visit us over the weekend! It was so much fun spending time with them!  

Tren was cooking his famous ribs and Gary was sweet to keep him dry while Tren was working his magic.  I was cracking up when I saw this and had to get a picture!  I mean, come on, what are friends for?  To keep you dry of course!

 Gary is a HUGE Bronco's fan.  So what's a trip to Denver without visiting the stadium.

We had so much fun having them stay the weekend with us!  We sure miss them and can't wait for their next visit!

Pumpkin patch fun

It's Piper's first Halloween which means it's time to go pick out our pumpkins!  Piper was in a great mood and was loving watching all the kids play at the pumpkin patch.

 There were so many pumpkins to choose from

 With Daddy's help, we found the perfect one

 It's time to buy our pumpkins and head home to carve them out

Piper had her 6 month check up (2 weeks late) and the stats are in.....

20.5 lbs (up 1.5 lbs from last month)

26.5 in tall (she is 1/2 an inch shorter than last month - lol)

This cute girl has been so much fun!  A little bit about her right now...

*Sits up by herself

*Hairs stands straight up no matter what I do

*She is getting up on all fours but hasn't quite figured out how to crawl (thank goodness)

*She rolls where ever she needs to go (which happens to be everywhere)
*Has two teeth which came in within two weeks of each other and she tolerated teething beautifully.  Both Tren and I were shocked when the first one came and even more shocked 2 weeks later to see the second one because she wasn't very fussy.

*Favorite pet is Diesel - they play all day together

*Loves playing with her friend Emma, who is 3 months older than her and so much fun (not to mention, we adore Emma's mom too)

*LOVES all vegetables and most fruits but is not a fan of meat 

*She says her blah's, ma's, and no's.

*Piper continues to love the outdoors and we go on walks almost daily

*Really enjoys her baby Einstein but loses interest after about 15 minutes

*Her gorgeous blue eyes are here to stay and she has dirty blond hair

*She is a social butterfly.  She literally entertained everyone at the DMV when the computers crashed and we were waiting for over an hour and a half for them to fix the problem.

*Her sleeping has improved - we are now sleeping 6-8 hours on a good night but will still occasionally be up every 4 hours.

*And last, but not least, has the CUTEST fat rolls on her thighs and arms!  I just love them!

Needless to say, this is one LOVED little girl!
