I am Grateful for....

Tis the season, so it's only fitting I share a few things that I am grateful for...

My amazing hubby
Tren is the best thing that has happened to me! I am so grateful to have him as my husband and one day the father of our children. He is such a funny, entertaining, crazy, lovable and amazing man. He keeps me on my toes. He mellows me out. And my favorite, he keeps me laughing. I love how giving he is. He is always putting someone else first, doing something for someone else, and works his butt off to make sure everyone is happy. I am the luckiest girl ever!

My family
I gotta say it - I have the most amazing and strong family ever! We have been through a lot - and yet we couldn't be closer which I believe is because of my parents! I absolutely adore my parents. They have done such a great job raising us kids to be independent and hard working. Although my mom is no longer with us, I feel that I am still being molded by her by the example she set of how she lived her life.
I am very blessed to have lots and lots of siblings that I just adore! We have so much fun together being the nerds that we are.
Tren's family is so fun! I love how carefree they are! T's parents did such a great job raising him and I am so Thankful for that. John always keeps me on my toes and makes sure that I know that I am loved! He is my favorite person to tease because he dishes it right back! Tory is the most giving person I know. I think that's where Tren gets that great trait. She is an amazing woman that I love spending time with!

My Freedom
What more can I say?!?
This is an amazing country - there wouldn't be so many people coming here illegally if it wasn't a great place to live!

My Friends
WOW - they are my life savers! I just love my girls!

My home
My job
I can't believe that I have been at my new job almost 8 months! That's so crazy! It seems like yesterday I made that difficult decision to do a complete 180 and drastically change my job. It was a great move for me and I am learning a ton at my new job. I work with some great people!

My car
Running water which = flushing toilets, warm showers, bubble baths, etc.
Weekends
Trials
Odd to be thankful for your trials - but I am a dang tough cookie because of what I have been through!

Chocolate

There's a lot more but I think you get the picture! I am so thankful for EVERYTHING I have and experienced.

Girls Trip

Shaline, Brindyn and I felt like we needed a girls trip to just get away and do some hard core shopping. We went down to St. George and it was GLORIOUS! The weather was PERFECT! It was so much fun spending time with my sisters! I just love them!
Here's Brindyn and I on the drive down.Shaline and Brindyn getting ready for a fun day of shopping!
We had lunch at Smash Burger - it was our first time and we all LOVED it! Even Shaline who RARELY eats red meat thought my burger was pretty darn good!
Our next stop was to do the bod pod. What is this bod pod you ask?? Well, it is the most accurate way to find out your body fat % - then it will tell you the amount of calories you should be eating to either maintain your weight, lose or gain weight. I of course would like to lose a little.
You sit in this machine, which looks like an egg, and it measures you somehow. LOL It's pretty high tech. The funny thing is you have to wear OOBER TIGHT spandex and a swim cap for the most accurate reading. It was a little embarrassing to have my sisters, aunt and of course the lady running the machine see my curvy body in spandex. Oh well, it was worth it! Both Shaline and I did it - but she kindly asked me not to post pictures of her in her spandex.

Later that night we painted our nails and watched movies! It was a great way to wind down after a very busy day!

The next morning, Brindyn begged us to go lizard hunting. (This girls loves her reptiles) So we decided we would take a hike and look for lizards for the better part of the morning. This is where we were hiking - the middle of nowhere, close to our grandparents home.
What's lizard hunting without photos -

Heading back so we could do more shopping. We had no luck finding lizards. :( Maybe next time!

Quick get away

Tren and I went up to my family's cabin the other weekend for a quick get away - just the two of use and Diesel of course :) We had a blast! I love that we can just pick up and go!
Here is Diesel and I cuddling up and getting ready to watch a movie!
I kept the cabin warm while Tren made us an AMAZING breakfast!

We took a nice walk after breakfast! It was goreous up there. There were still some pretty fall colors with a little bit of snow.

We found a rope tied to one of the trees by the cabin. We decided to swing on it like we were kids - it was HILARIOUS and quite an upper body work out! We got some good pictures! Here's Tren.....

Me trying my hand at it

Even Diesel tried

I was sad to head home so soon - same with Diesel - but it's a good thing Park City is a short drive away! I can't wait for the snow so we can go snowmobiling and sledding. One of our favorite family trips!

Quality time on the Deer Hunt

Tren and I were able to take our nephew Hudson on the deer hunt this year. It was just the 3 of us and we had a lot of fun, even though the whether was AWFUL! Huddy was so much fun to have and a lot easier than I thought he would be. He is normally a really shy kid around his Aunt Chylie but he warmed up pretty quick and I loved it!
This was Huddy's first hunt and I think he really liked it. We used Tren's parents motor home to camp out for the weekend which made it all that much more fun.
Here is Huddy and Uncle T at 6am eating a good breakfast before we head out for opening day of the hunt.

The morning was gorgeous and semi warm considering it was October and we were in the mountains. Hudson did SO good with the hiking. He only mentioned his feet hurting one time and that was all the complaining we got! He was such a trooper!

It was absolutely gorgeous up there!
Huddy and Uncle T lookin for deer. These two were SO cute! Tren was so good and patient when he was teaching Hudson how to hunt and reminding him to be quiet when he hiked. Tren will be an amazing daddy one day.
A moose we saw
Me hiking
The boys - Huddy adores his uncle T. He would do everything Tren did. It was the cutest thing to watch!
Huddy was hiking so hard he needed a little help getting off some of the layers Aunt Chylie put him in. Poor kid had a bunch of clothes on - but I didn't want him to be freezing in the middle of the mountains!
I love this picture!
The amazing views
It started raining/snowing/sleeting while we were hiking. We decided to head back to camp and wait it out. I was exhausted. Tren got a picture of me and my babies taking a nap. (sorry Tory that my dogs were on your bed!)
I woke up from my nap expecting the boys to be napping too. I guess Hudson didn't need a nap so uncle T stayed awake and played games with him.
Round 2 - getting ready for the evening hunt. The rain died down just enough that we could hike around for awhile.
Hudson getting all his layers on again! He was ready for some more hunting.
Just as we pulled up to park at the base of a trail Tren wanted to hike, we realized the little guy who didn't need a nap earlier was passed out. He didn't even flinch when I took his picture with a bright flash. We laughed it off and decided we would road hunt until he woke up.
We had so much fun hunting over the weekend. We didn't get a big buck but we still had a blast. Hudson is asking for camo everything for Christmas. He can't wait for next year!

Happy Birthday to my Sister!

Happy birthday to my big sister Shaline. She turned 27 a couple weeks ago!
She is the MOST selfless person I know - a quality I admire and strive to have. So I wanted to make her birthday all about her! I took her to a spa and we got pedicures - hands down the BEST and most relaxing pedicure EVER. Then we went out for a night of shopping.
It's sad that this is the only picture I could find of us cuz it's usually she or myself taking the picture.

Our cute little red toes. We decided to be twins with the color. GO UTES!

We had a blast spending the evening together. I love my sister so much! We are making it a goal to do a girls night -with Brindyn too of course - at least once a month! (Hopefully more)
Happy Birthday Shaline!
