Christmas Part 1

WARNING: Picture overload - I went a little overboard with my camera!  But hey, it's CHRISTMAS!
Traditionally, we spend Christmas Eve with my family and do Christmas morning with everyone there then head over to the Hagmans to spend the rest of Christmas with them.  It has worked out well but it makes for a busy, fun filled day!
This year, Santa brought Piper a kitchen which she LOVED!!  That is all she played with and only stopped when she was told she had gifts to open up.  We all got pretty spoiled!

 Opening up presents
We gave my Dad and Kim a book I made Piper of her first year.  They loved it.
Piper was such a big helper passing out presents

 My brother and Sister
The whole crew during the chaos of gift giving
Piper is the only grandbaby on my side of the family and she got spoiled!  She had a lot of help opening up this big gift from Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma Kim made Piper this cute rocking chair which matches her nursery perfectly!  Piper just LOVES this chair!
Piper and her O-pa (as she calls him)
We had such a great Christmas morning with the Nelsons!  We are so blessed to have such an amazing family!
Coming up..... Christmas Part 2 - Christmas with the Hagmans.  Stay tuned!

Christmas Lights at Temple Square

I grew up going to Temple Square to look at the Christmas Lights almost every year.  Since being married, we hadn't gone.  (In fact, Tren had NEVER - yes, never - been downtown to see the lights).  So, I thought it was time to start the tradition of going every year, especially since Piper is now old enough to enjoy them.  I LOVE going and we had such a great time - even though it was pretty cold!

Another first for both my babies - riding trax!  Piper is big into Choo Choo Trains right now and she LOVED riding trax.
My dad, Kim and Dannion were able to join us
 Loving the lights

 Such a daddy's girl
We had a lot of fun and can't wait to continue this tradition for years to come with our growing family!

Bake day with the Hagmans

I love our tradition of getting together around Christmas time and baking our favorite Christmas treats!  I look forward to it every year!
While we were inside cooking the boys and kids were playing out in the snow and loving every second of it
I always bake my famous oreo cookies!  SOOO GOOOD!
It fun having little 'helpers' in the kitchen

Piper's first taste of cookie dough and what do ya know.... she LOVED it!
She must be my daughter!
The rare moments my child will cuddle with me!  Glad we got it on camera!

Visiting Great Grandparents in Utah

While in Utah for Christmas, we always try to make a point of visiting Great Grandparents.  We made a trip to Genola to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Nelson.  They are both in their 90's and doing great!  I can't believe that they are celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary this month!  I just love them dearly and am SO grateful to have such powerful examples in my life!

My Grandparents on my mom's side came up from St George for Christmas.  Piper hasn't seen them since LAST Christmas.  Needless to say, it was time for them to see their Great Grandbaby!

Thanksgiving

We were fortunate enough to have Tren's sister and her cute family out for Thanksgiving this year!  We loved hosting it at our home and LOVED not having to drive to Utah 3 weeks apart for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Meal prep has begun....
 My baby girl and me
 Evans Family
 Piper just adores her cousins!
My little baby bump has popped - there was no hiding the pregnancy by the time Thanksgiving arrived!
Love my cute growing family!
Meagan working her magic in the kitchen

It was such a gorgeous day!  Hudson was working on his skateboarding tricks and Piper loved watching him!

We are so Thankful to have amazing family!  We had so much fun but missed Grammy and Pa pa so much!  Poor Grammy broke her foot a couple days before Thanksgiving and was unable to make the trip!  Glad they had family in Utah to celebrate the holiday with!
