Halloween Festivities

We decided to go to the pumpkin patch and carve pumpkins as we watched the Utah game.
This was the first time T and I have ever carved pumpkins together... it's crazy to think we have never done it in the years past. We just lucked out that he didn't have a big hunt this year around Halloween.
Here is cute Gary and Kim picking out their pumpkins! SO many to choose from!

My hansom man! He was trying to find the biggest pumpkin. This was as big as they got.
Looks like we better plant some pumpkins in our garden next year!

We left with a bunch of pumpkins

Gary and Kim
Let the mess begin....
Kim and I concentrating on getting our pumpkins carved
Tren and my pumpkins
(I look super short in this picture next to him!)
All of the pumpkins on our porch
-Kim and Tren carved two more after this picture was taken
We had a blast! I kinda want to carve more now!

Have a happy and safe Halloween everyone!

Strawberry

Tren, Gary, Kim and I went up to Strawberry for one last fishing trip. I absolutely love fishing Strawberry!
The clouds where chillin over the water when we got there. It was absolutely gorgeous! Plus we got to enjoy all the fun fall colors!

My hansom man fishing! Gary was great to drive the boat so Tren could fish for a little while! Me and Kim and of course Gary's little butt in the background... he wasn't feeling very good. So Kim kicked butt fishing. Not only did she catch the first and the biggest fish... but she caught the most too. Lets just say, she caught them all!

Tren and I

We pulled the boat over so we could take a break from the water - more like Gary could take a break since he was so sick - here's T and I goofing around.

So everything was hunky dory when we got to Strawberry - Gary wasn't sick at all. But over time he gradually got worse. Here is his before picture.......
And his after! So sad!
The poor guy vomited 8 times before we decided he was sick enough to pack up and start heading home. We are the worst friends EVER! (I will be the first to admit it)
I am glad we all can laugh about it now! (Right Gary)

Dannion's Baptism

Dannion turned 8 years old last month. He was so excited to be baptized!
Here he is with Dad, who baptized him.
I wish I had got a picture of these two in white! :(
The whole family

After the baptism, we all went over to my dad's for lunch and to socialize.
Here is Tren with baby Jaxon - who we just fell in love with. He is the happiest baby ever! I would have taken him home if my cousin would let me! Dannion was all tuckered out with all the attention he had received for the day.
He is such a cute kid!

Scouting for big bulls

Tren and his dad John let me go along on their scouting trip over labor day weekend. They both drew out for bulls in San Jaun - I guess it's a big deal!
I had so much fun with these two! I absolutely love them! They are hilarious when they are together and SO much alike!
It was absolutely gorgeous there! And I have never seen so much wildlife in my life. We saw a ton of big bucks , does, elk (of course), bunnies, BEARS - a grand total of 3 (they scare me - especially because we were tenting it!)
Every chance these boys had, they would pull over, get their binoculars out and scan the mountain side. It gave Deisel a chance to get out, stretch his legs and run around.
This was our campsite the second night. It was SO pretty. We were right on the edge of a meadow and we could hear the elk bugling at night. I loved it!
Deisel loved it too. We just let him run and run.
Here I am looking for bulls in Johns big camo vest. It was pretty fun. Some of the wildlife we saw. I much prefer to look at them alive, rather than hanging on the wall.
I love this picture!
I love this man!
Tren and I - we look amazing after 3 days of camping!
Like father like son! I absolutely loved watching these two on this trip! They crack me up!

Me playing in the fire and spending some quality time with John

So Tren and I learned long ago that it doesn't work having Deisel sleep with us when we go camping cuz NOBODY sleeps. We always make him sleep in his kennel... but this night was an exception. Earlier in the day we saw 3 bears (which terrify me) - I refused to sleep in the tent unless I was sleeping between John and Tren and Deisel was in the tent too. Needless to say, the bears left us alone that night but I didn't sleep well at all!

Bedroom

Tren and I have been in our house for a year and a half now and we have been slowly (or I guess I am the slow one) making our house a home. We finally have our bedroom done and we absolutely love it.
These are the before pictures and I think it totally looks like a bachelor pad! We had just barely got married a month or so before we bought the house - so we were still combining all of our things and figuring out what 'look' we both can live with. Needless to say, my interior design taste trumped his - hence there are no dead animal head's in my front room!

Nothing like a blank slate to start off with.... I wanted an intimate, but dramatic bed room. So I did a 'no no' and painted our already kinda small master bedroom a dark color on all 4 walls - but don't worry guys, I am a professional. The final look looks great! (at least to T and I it does)

Can I just say that I LOVE being married a man who knows how to do EVERYTHING! You will see just how much he did for this room to look exactly how I pictured!
Next it was time for a bed and can I tell you this was so stinkin hard to find a bed that fit the look I was going for and keep it in our price range. Gosh, it sucks to have expensive taste!
But needless to say, thank goodness for great friends like Ambree who came through for us and was able to get us an amazing deal on this great bed.

Tren wouldn't let me help with the bed cuz apparently I am 'too little' to help... so me and Roxy did a photo shoot while we impatiently waited.
Tuh-dah... our new bed!
What's a room without art??
Tren and I went to an art exhibit where we came out with 3 unique pieces of art and we didn't have a clue where we were going to put them. Turns out they work PERFECTLY in our room!
Next we needed more storage and I didn't want a typical dresser taking up space and making our room look cluttered and small. So, we got creative and found this, (I believe in the office section of all places) and mounted it on the wall where it helped make the room feel bigger and more spacious. Plus it looks fabulous!

Tren let me 'help' with this project. He let me put in the last screw! I know, I know... he couldn't have done it without me!
Ah geeze... next were the night stands. I don't think Tren knew what he was getting into when he married me. I am one picky woman when it comes to design! And heaven forbid that I settle!
I couldn't find ANY night stands that were remotely close to what I had pictured for our room. So, my AMAZING husband had be draw a picture, write out my dimmensions and he built them from scratch!
I definitely was not left out on this project...I painted them while he was at work!
Tuh-Dah... the final product (minus 2 large Euro pillows that I can't find anywhere for a decent price - so if you know, do please share with me!)
I gotta be honest, these pictures do not do the room justice... so come on over and see it in person! :)
Don't you think the nightstands turned out great!?! Once again, I gotta hand it to my amazing husband! Thanks for being patient with me baby!
Now how many people have a 'dresser' mounted on the wall - very few my friends, very few!
I love being unique!

Next we are finishing the bathroom in the basement and we just might be crazy enough to remodel the other two bathrooms on the main floor at the same time. Don't you worry though, there will be pictures on that big event!
