Breaking News

~BREAKING NEWS~
Tren accepted a promotion with his company which is HUGE for his future with Granite Seed. Not only will he be moving up in the company but we will be moving our little family to Denver.

We thought long and hard about this decision but ultimately it was pretty much a no brainer. This is in the best interest of Tren's career and our family. We are super excited to be starting a new chapter in a new place.

Part of the condition of us accepting this promotion was that we wanted to stay here until Miss Piper was born and then move to Denver about 6-8 weeks post delivery. Tren will begin commuting over to Denver in February where he will be staying there Monday through Friday and then fly home for the weekends. We know this will be difficult for us but in the long run it will be totally worth it. (so my ladies - feel free to come over any night to keep me company!)

We are working on getting our fabulous home ready to put up for sale (we are pretty sad about this because we LOVE our home and neighborhood) and we are going to be taking our first trip to Denver to begin our house hunt in January. It's going to be stressful with a lot of unknowns but we are excited to be doing this adventure together!

Quality time with little sister

What's the holiday's without making some delicious treats?? I needed to make some homemade oreo cookies for a Christmas party, so I enlisted my little sister's help since she likes to get her hands dirty.
She loves baking with her big sister, especially since she knows I will let her sneak dough.

Brindyn and Me baking (she is like my little twin, I just adore her)

The cookies were a success and a BIG hit at the party! Thanks for your help sista!

Belly Pictures

My belly is getting bigger and bigger every day now! I love it! I finally bought my first maternity shirt when I was 22 weeks (it was on clearance) - but I am still making do with my pants. (I am such a cheap skate)
20 weeks 21 weeks
*Tren and I struggle remembering to get the weekly belly picture - so no 22 week picture!
23 weeks

How far? 24 weeks - but the little lady is still measuring about a week ahead

How big is baby? A little more than 1.5 pounds

Total weight gain or loss? Still kickin butt with my weight gain! I am up 6 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight!

Maternity clothes? I bought my first maternity shirt at week 22 - but that's because it was on clearance. I am using a belly band for my pants and it's working pretty good for now.

Symptoms? Still having those daily headaches and occasional migraines which is probably why I am kicking butt with my weight gain. I am happy to say that I have had NO MORE SCIATIC PAIN - woot woot. (knock on wood) And I have started to have occasional round ligament pain - but nothing too bad.

What I miss? I miss walking up stairs and not getting winded! LOL I miss working out hard - but I am sure there will be plenty of that once the little lady gets here, so I am going to take advantage of my low key work outs.

Cravings? Fruit roll ups, gushers, fruit by the foot - I can't eat enough of these. I LOVE them right now!! And I can't stop at 1 or 2 - I need like 7 to get my 'fix.'

Best moment this week: We went to a company Christmas party this week and the bartender really pampered me. From the second we arrived, he was keeping me stocked on fantastic virgin beverages. I really enjoy the extra pampering I get from being pregnant. :)

Christmas Party

We had our Christmas Party with my mom's side of the family last week. It was so much fun - everyone was able to make it which was fantastic.
We had fabulous food, great company and plenty of belly laughs.

After dinner we did the gift exchange. My grandparents are the best to watch because they are so animated!
And of course - what's a McBride Christmas Party without music!?! We played Christmas carols with our bells.
So my little brother and sister took our camera for half the night and I was laughing so hard at the pictures they took. I had to throw in how photogenic my family is! I just love how big of nerds we are!

Date Night

My handsome hubby took me on a hot date to see the Blue Man Group last week. It was so much fun! Tren had seen them a couple of times in the past and really built the show up! I have to admit, I wasn't let down.We try to make it to at least one Christmas show in December. We typically go and see Kurt Bestor but decided on Blue Man Group this year. It was a nice change! Last Christmas show for us without having to worry about a babysitter!

O Christmas Tree

Tren, John, Cy and myself went down to Fairview Thanksgiving weekend for our Hagman tradition of cutting Christmas trees. This was the PERFECT year! The sun was shining, there wasn't a ton of snow and we only needed to get about 12 trees.

After doing a little hiking higher up the mountain, we were finding some gorgeous trees. The boys, of course, did all the work. I just pointed. Here is Tren and his dad cutting down our tree. TrenMe and my big belly chilled by the creek and soaked up a little sun. It was so gorgeous there.
Deisel had a blast running around - he struggled sitting still so I could take his picture

John

Our load of trees - Merry Christmas to everyone who got one!

I love this tradition. It's quality time I get to spend with the boys! I just love tagging along with them!

Let it snow

Tren and I were able to go up to my families cabin to just get away for a night. It was gorgeous down in the valley but shortly after arriving at the cabin the snow started falling and I don't think it stopped the whole time we were there. Good thing Tren is a professional when it comes to driving! It was a little stressful getting off the mountain without the snowmobiles. Diesel and Roxy had so much fun playing in the snow. They stayed close to the fire when in the cabin. It's a luxury we sadly don't have at home.

Tren and Diesel wrestling. It's part of their nightly routine!

Tren was sweet to give up his Utah tickets to take me up to the cabin. But we of course had to listen to the game while we were up there. Here's Tren relaxing in front of the fire and enjoying the game. Utes won! Why is it that dinner tastes so much better when you are at the cabin or camping??Tren getting the truck ready to safely get us down the mountain.
It was a short visit but totally worth it. We love going up to the cabin!
