On the road

I am sure I have mentioned this before, but I LOVE road trips!!

This one was VERY fun. We went to Idaho Falls -- I know...whoop-dee- doo, Idaho Falls -- but it was for Tren's first football game of the season! And I LOVE watching the games!
The best is riding in a mini van full of boys! Let me tell you, it's nothin but entertainment!

Here is T and I squished (literally) in the back seat

My cute husband in his SUPER tight football pants. I love it! #55

Tren and I ended up riding home with his parents in his mom's little green bug. (when I say little, I mean itty bitty little) Especially for my tall hubby!

This is what happens when temper's flare because you are in each other's bubbles for hours! Ya, let's just say Tren got bored so he started picking on the easiest target... me! (I say easy cuz I was sitting next to him -- And apparently I am fun to tease!)
Can't wait for the next road trip! Next time it will be in a bigger vehicle!

Our newest addition

Meet my early birthday present.. Deisel!
He is a lab that we rescued from Ruff Patch Rescue. He is 7 weeks and the CUTEST little guy ever! We have had so much fun with him!

I love this picture!!
Deisel's eating out of the bucket as Tren pours his food in it! I was laughing pretty hard when I saw this! I of course had to snap a picture!

Tren's New Friend

I had some girl friends over the other night, one of which (Jena) has the CUTEST little girl! I love this girl to pieces! She took a liking to Tren. They were so cute! Tren got in the hammock and she wanted to sit with him! I had do get a picture! :)
Ya, the hammock is broken... that's why Tren's butt is almost dragging on the ground!
CUTE!

A sad goodbye

A couple weeks ago I took another job. I felt it was time to try my hand in a very different kind of nursing position. It was a bittersweet decision. I was super excited to start something different and challenging but I was SO sad to leave my family at the women's center! I work with the most amazing group of women! They have helped me through so much and taught me A TON in the 5 years I spent with them.
These are a few pictures of my last night. This is only a few of the many girls I love.
(Midge, Cindy, Tara, Sontum, Ambree, me and Julie)

Me and my midge! She is an absolute HOOT!
They were so sweet to get ice cream and toppings for my last night! It was a delicious 2 AM snack! :)

Me and Julie enjoying some ice cream.
I know, I look prego in this picture... but just to be clear, I am NOT! It's the scrubs! :)

Ambree and Me! I love this girl!

Look what I came home to

So I had just got done with dinner with some girl friends and was heading home. I pull into my driveway, see Gary's truck and remembered he was coming over for the jazz game. I wasn't prepared to see what I saw when I walked in the door! LOL
Look at these two faces! They look so happy! (and proud)

I walk into my house, it doesn't smell nice like usual, guess what they're cooking....

MUSSELS.... yep, they smell pretty fishy!

Now imagine how my house smelled

They devoured all of them! I have to admit, I did try a couple and they were pretty darn good! I had no idea these two were such good cooks!

Easter Festivities

You gotta love Easter!! I grew up looking forward to the Easter egg hunt, decorating eggs and just playing with all my cousins! Not much has changed. We had a blast at my uncle's.

Every year, the adults hide the eggs while the kids wait inside with their grocery bags (yep, you heard me, grocery bags.... this ensures you don't loose any eggs while you're tackling your cousin to take theirs) With our family, you have to be tough which I LOVE!
Over the years we have got creative on hiding the eggs. (creative = dangerous)

Here's my dad putting eggs up in the tree, we put eggs in the rain gutter and on the roof of the house, up on top of the shed, etc.
And here is Shaline and Tren putting eggs where the younger ones can get them

Not a suprise that Sean worked for the few eggs he got from the tree!

And the hunt is on!
