Random...

Funniest sight.... at least I thought so...
So Tren and I were having a late night... we had just bought a bunch of stuff earlier in the day for our bedroom make over and we were trying to get everything in its place. I walk out of our bedroom, the rest of the house is dark mind you, and I see two shiny eye balls staring at me. I turn on the light and this is what I see......
Boo is sitting upright on the second to top step with with his cute little paws folded, and he's just chillin! I was laughing so hard! I had to get a picture!
Maybe it was just late and I was tired and that's why it was so funny to me... but come on, what cat chills with his arms folded???

Celebrating our 1 year

For our one year anniversary Tren went all out! He surprised me by having a limo pick us up at our home and take us downtown for dinner!
I love surprises but I really love figuring out the surprise too!! I knew T would do something but I didn't know what and a limo wasn't even close to what I was thinking! It was a very nice surprise!
I of course had to get a picture of us in the limo!! It was my first time EVER! I know shocker!!

He took me to Al Forno's Ristorante down town and it was FABULOUS! It's Italian food and it was super delicious! I strongly recommend it!

What better to top off an amazing night?!? Your husband making you breakfast the next morning!!

I absolutely love you Tren!! Thanks so much for doing all this for me! You are the best!

One year down

Today is Tren and My ONE YEAR anniversary!!
One year down, forever to go!

This day I married my friend,
the one I laugh with,
dream with,
live for,
love

Our day couldn't have been more perfect! The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was just as I imagined and the sun was shining!

My sweet dad giving me away!
I couldn't have planned this wedding without him! He was so fun to go dress shopping with! In fact, when he wasn't loving the dresses I had picked out, he went and picked out one he liked and it turns out, that was the one I wore when he walked me down the aisle!

Thank goodness for dads!!

Our wonderful Family!

Our AMAZING cake!

On this day we promised forever

The end of an amazing day and the beginning of our happily ever after!

I am the luckiest girl in the world! I couldn't have married a better man!
There are so many things I love about Tren! I love the way he makes me laugh, he has the best sense of humor. His laugh is so contagious! I love how well he takes care of me! He would do anything for me! I love how he teases me, although I complain, I absolutely love it! I love his eagerness to learn and continue his education even though he already has a great job. He is an incredible man and the ideal husband. I love him so much!
I have loved the years we have shared with each other and I am looking forward to so many more!

I love business trips

My husband got to go on his first business trip last week and the best part was that I got to go too! I absolutely love this man. He works so hard and it's really paying off! He has only been with this company for a year and yet they feel totally confident to send him out to represent the company! He did an amazing job!

We had a blast! We drove to Denver which was great... I slept and Tren drove! That's my idea of a road trip! :)

I had been told that 'Denver is just like Salt Lake' but I totally beg to differ! I absolutely love that city! I would move there in a heart beat! It may be because while Tren earned money I spent it shopping in that beautiful city. The architecture of the buildings were amazing, the art on the street corners was impressive and best of all the air was clear and safe to breathe! LOL

Here is Tren and I starting our trip at 6 AM! Surprisingly we were all smiles considering we got only 5 or so hours of sleep!

Here is the drive in a nutshell!! This is how it looks almost the whole way! Wyoming really needs some trees! It's definitely not the prettiest drive!

On our last day Tren only had to work a half a day which was great! We got to explore Denver together! He took me to the Hard Rock Cafe which was a first for me!

Lots of sight seeing and pictures!! ( my favorite)

And best of all..... the Art Museum! We had fun although some of the art was quite 'unique' to say the least. We didn't get how they call some of that stuff art!

We got to add to some of the art too! They provided scrap paper ( we all know I am all about recycling) hole punchers and twist ties and we made our own art and attached it to what was already there. I loved this idea, I am even thinking of doing something similar in our home!

This is one of those 'unique' art pieces that left Tren and I scratching our heads!

This was another weird piece. It was a box with bright bands strung from floor to ceiling. You could go in and try to walk around. Tren tried it. I couldn't do it... it makes me claustrophobic just thinking about it.

Here we are on our last night! It was so nice to relax and enjoy the room service! We were so pampered! We had so much fun on this trip! I can't wait for the next one!

Happy Birthday Dad

My dad turned 51 last week ( well, he says 49 cuz he is starting to substract years now) and since Tren and I were going to be out of town when my family was going to celebrate we gave him his gifts early.
As you can see, Tren and I wrapped his gifts in the classic Nelson wrapping (newspaper or grocery sacks...whichever is easier to come by)

Look at my dad's face... he's like a kid on Christmas... I love it!! I think he really liked how Tren used duck tape to wrap the gift!
So my dad got a new ax for the cabin and straps for his snowmobiles!

Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!

~Happy 65th Anniversary~

My dad's parents just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary! They are the greatest examples to me on how a husband and wife should treat each other! You can truly see how much these two love each other! They are two very amazing people and I love them so much! I kept telling Tren that this was going to be us in 64 years! :) I can't wait to grow old with him!
We had a luncheon to celebrate. Grandma and Grandpa told us stories of how they met and dated and started off their life together! I can honestly say that T and I have no room to ever complain. T and I experienced A LOT of bad luck right before we got married and 6 months into our marriage ( but who's counting) and we didn't have it near as bad as my grandparents. I learned a lot from them.
Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!

Arizona

My family and I took a quick trip down to Arizona to visit some family! My cousin and her husband just built a beautiful home and needed some help moving in since my cousin is on bedrest due to her pregnancy. Besides, we are always looking for an excuse to go down.

It was gorgeous! 70's everyday! I love Arizona in the winter!

Here's the whole clan at Hoover Dam... except my dad who is taking the picture! I LOVE my big family!
We really missed not having Tren and Stephen with us for this trip!

We decided to road trip it down there since so many of us were going. We took two cars cuz the older kids needed to be back sooner than the rest of the family. It was fun because we had a 'girl' car and Shaline and I were able to have some quality time with Brindyn doing 'girl' stuff!

We passed the time taking pictures of everything on the way down there... including a bunch of pictures of my dad driving. You gotta love road trips! :)

Citrus is in season down there! We couldn't pass up making fresh orange juice every morning! It was delicious!
Don't I look like a million bucks in the morning?? LOL

Dad and Sean practicing some basketball in the gorgeous weather!

Brandall adjusting to being home again! He of course had to practice his golfing and he couldn't help but show everyone up with his acrobat skills on the trampoline :)

Brandall, Shaline and Me

Picking oranges at my cousins! We brought home so many oranges, grapefruits, lemons and pecans! They are delicious!

My aunt has a pool in her backyard, and although it is sunny down there the water was freezing. The kids kept insisting it is warm enough to go swimming. We had them feel the water they all said 'oh yeah, that's super warm.' So we made a deal with them... (evil laugh) we told them they could get in if they all jumped in at once. They agreed! We had everyone out there to watch their reaction and it was priceless.
They jumped in and jumped right back out. Suddenly swimming didn't sound so fun! :)
Here is Dannion and Brindyn taking in the sun!

Luckily Aunt Frances did let the go 'swimming' in her hot tub! They were able to warm up in there!
