Well, it's that time of year again and we can honestly say that we aren't too excited about it this year! We would much rather be fishing, watching football, camping, hunting (tren would, not so much me) or something else with our weekends than bottle.... but I know if we didn't then we would regret it come winter and spring when we are craving our delicious beets, salsa and spagetti sauce!

Then comes the big task of picking and scrubbing the beets. We planted 4 1/2 rows this year because last year we didn't bottle anywhere near enough beets to last us!
Cutting off the beet greens... I really wish we liked eating them so we didn't waist them... but at least I was able to put them in my compost!

Holy cow! I cant believe how many bottles you did! This was my first year canning and I thought I did a lot! Nothing compared to yours! P.S. The last picture is so cute but I couldnt help but notice all your cute decorations/home decor! I desperately need your help to decorate my house!!! Where do you find most your stuff?
