A couple weeks ago we bottled our delicious salsa! We decided to do it outside for the first time which was a VERY smart idea because we ended up having a bottle explode on us which would have been a PAIN to clean up had we been in the house.

Hudson came with Grandma to help bottle! He did such a great job with every task we asked him to do.

Working Hard - the salsa smelled SO good!
The mess that was created when the bottle exploded. I was standing right next to the steamer when it happened. I got splashed with hot salsa. What an experience.
The final product - we bottled nowhere near the usual amount due to our tomatoe's taking FOREVER to ripen up, but this will last us through the year.
How fun! We also did a ton of canning this year. And by we I mean me. I did salsa, peaches, strawberry and raspberry jam, apple pie filling, and then I froze corn, zucchini, and some zucchini bread. It's a ton of work but sooo worth it!
