This little lady is 10 months old! Wow, how time flies! Tren and I were talking about how our baby is turning 1 in less than 2 MONTHS!! Crazy! We are loving the constant changes that are going on! Piper is so inquisitive and independent. You can see her wheels turning as she investigates new drawers and cupboards, books and toys or just watches other kids. She is one smart cookie!
She is a very happy girl who is just starting to turn on the dramatics. Tren and I have to work pretty hard not to let her see us smile or laugh when she is being dramatic. She's pretty good at it too!
We tend to spend most of our afternoon reading books. Piper loves looking at the pictures and turning pages. She likes to do it by herself or have you read to her. I love it! This is when she'll snuggle with me.
What's new this month with Piper...
* Climbs stairs like a professional (she shocked us when at Christmas she climbed our friends stairs like it was nothing. We had never practiced with her! She is one ambitious girl!)
* Waves hi/bye, says 'ha' for hi
* Knows that the stove and oven are hot and will point and say 'hot' to them
* Piper says 'da da' all the time but hasn't said ma ma in a while
* Loves, loves, loves looking at pictures. Particularly ones of mom, dad and piper
* Has no fear and is one tough cookie
* Continues to love on Geech (the cat) more than the poor thing would care for
* Still no stranger anxiety
* Piper's bubble is still as big as ever but occasionally she will cuddle and give kisses but it must be on her OWN time (so my child)
* She is a mama's girl and I love every second of it!
* Prefers homemade baby food over store bought. Favorite is cabbage, beet, spinach and carrot mixture. (does that make your mouth water or what?)
* Walks with help
* She took her first step a few days after turning 10 months
* Very independent
* She is very strong willed (dunno where she got that from) but she has been testing boundaries a lot lately.
* Giggles all the time! She squeals so loud when being tickled and screams like a little girl when she is being chased. Tren and I love it!
* Sleep through the night
* Loves bath time and will put her face in the water over and over and over again! Gonna have to keep a VERY close eye on her this summer! Can't wait to start taking her to the pool!
